Mike McCarthy “The Comedy Barbarian,” once named Boston’s Best Comedian (2013), has performed at casinos to clubs and everywhere between with his high-energy style of comedy. He has been seen on Comedy Central, Showtime, Amazon Prime, and heard on Sirius XM.

The History of the Comedy Barbarian:

Once upon a time in a kingdom far, far away, there was born a goofy bastard who would one day be recognized as the silliest savage in all of the realm. His journey to comedic legend began in 1987 at Boston’s iconic Comedy Connection. Storming the stage at the age of 19 with the perfect blend of hilarity and audacity, he soon became a national headliner, earning a reputation as a crowd slayer and whiskey assassin. Over the next three decades, he pillaged biker bars, strip clubs, and Chinese restaurants across the known universe, appearing on Comedy Central, Showtime Prime Video, and America’s Most Wanted. Being named Boston’s best comedian in 2013 and winning the title of Last Comic Standing in 2016 only added to his lore. One night at the Asgard Improv, Odin himself fell off his throne, howling in laughter at our hero’s tales of mischief, mayhem, and misadventure. Afterwards, the Allfather decreed that this mighty mortal was not some ordinary court jester, but instead a valiant Viking jokester worthy of Valhalla, and henceforth be known throughout the land as The Comedy Barbarian. Thus, the legend was born, and much mead and merriment ensued! Now at the absolute height of his comedic power, with a sense of humor as twisted as Loki on a bad hair day and a wit as sharp as a battle-axe, this wild warrior hits the stage looking like he raided the clearance rack at a Renaissance fair, rocking a horned helmet and leather kilt. With a mischievous glint in his eyes, he slings punchlines that hit like Thor’s hammer. This high-energy force of nature comedic phenomenon spins stories so bawdy and hilarious that even the sourest bridge troll can’t help but crack a smile. General Admission Seating and Food & Drink Service Policy for Venturino's Comedy Club at J. Vito's Supper Club and Lounge:

- Doors open at 5pm and shows start at 7pm, unless otherwise stated.

- Food service will be available from 5pm until 8:30pm when the show ends. You are welcome to stay for drinks after the show has ended.

- Based upon the ticket purchase date and party size, general admission seating will be arranged by the venue 

and a host will bring you to your assigned table or seat upon your arrival.

- Seating requests are accepted on a first come, first serve basis but not guaranteed due to changes in party sizes

and changes in attendance.

- There are a limited number of tables available so parties of 2 may be sat with other guests. 

- You may be sat at table top or bar seating depending on your ticket purchase date and expected attendance.

- Groups or guests expecting to sit together must ALL purchase tickets at the same time to ensure this accommodation. 

-Maximum Table Party Size is 8 Guests. Parties greater than 8 will be separated.

- Guests who purchase tickets separately from others in their group may not be seated in the same area as their group.

- There are no bad or obstructed seating arrangements in this beautiful venue. 

- Guests are expected to silence their cell phones or put them on vibrate during the shows. 

- Guests are asked to keep their table talk to a minimum as to not disrupt others around them or the comedians.

- There is absolutely NO HECKLING during the show, which includes guests yelling out or being disruptive. 

- Guests who are disruptive may be given a warning before being asked to leave and will not receive a refund.
